There is the Sarkey's Energy Center and dubbed "the red-headed step-child" of the College of Amospheric and Geographical Sciences Or whatever the name is... I guess OU Geography will have to move on South Campus by getting their own money? The GIS is it own entity now. Despite the fact that OU Geographers are working in weather and climate-related science at OU, the SOM really doesn't pay attention and there off having a non-stop party at the NWC. Some are working on getting OU Geography to the College of Arts and Sciences! I do not think this is a good idea for the reason I have said priviously in this document. But SOM and the AGS has to pay attention. We do not have tons of money coming in because this is not the way in works with the NSF. Atmospheric Sciences is credible right now. Climatiologic Sciences is extremely credible right now and OU Geography does play a part. But it you do not pay attention to OU Geography -- they are going to take their ball and go to Arts and Sciences!
